As a short-term visitor to Sydney, I needed a conveniently located hotel near public transportation, and Wake Up! proved to be the perfect choice. Situated across from the central station, it offers easy access to both the airport and the city. I particularly enjoyed staying on the top floor, where the room was bathed in lovely sunlight. The hostel has a lively atmosphere, with friendly and helpful staff. The free Wi-Fi was fast and accessible in the rooms as well. The bathrooms were always clean, and the showers were spacious and well-maintained. The hostel also provides a well-equipped kitchen and organizes various city tours and events such as games nights and wine and cheese evenings. Wake Up! offers excellent value for money and a vibrant, clean, and enjoyable stay.
Totally recommend this hotel.

During my recent stay at Wake Up, I was impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. They were really nice too ensure that I had a comfortable stay. The location of the hostel near Central Station was excellent, making it easy for me to explore the city. The hostel also had helpful vending machines and laundry facilities, very convenient. I enjoyed the social atmosphere and nightlife at the bar below, where I met many people doing working holidays. The tours offered by the hostel were also great. I would highly recommend reserving an 8 or 10-bed room if you have a lot of luggage, as it provides more space.

As a 20 year old who is finally starting to travel independently it is great to be able to spend so little to stay in a place that is extremely diverse and vibrant. There is a real 'cool' vibe about 'Wake Up! Sydney Central' and you feel relaxed yet excited when you first walk in. I was expecting some seedy backpackers place and instead found myself in a well located and well setup establishment. I would 100% recommend staying here especially as a young traveller or someone who wants to save a bit of money. Also, the little restaurant serves well priced and great food and the 'Side Bar' nightclub downstairs and the array of different music playing around the building is great (I am a hip-hop/rap fan so it was great to walk in on Friday evening and hear some old-school beats). Well worth it, great people to meet and I can only hope that there are more places like this around the country and internationally! THANK YOU!
I am surprised that there was actually nothing I disliked!

Really enjoyed my recent stay in a central location! The beds were super comfy and I loved having my own electrical outlet and light. The cafe and bar on site were both great places to chill out and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plus, the travel agents in the lobby were able to help me plan an awesome day trip.
The kitchen could use some improvement. Some of the stove burners didn't work well and the kitchen was closed for a few hours each day, which was a bit inconvenient.
